If you join a men and women's sports league, you are bound to meet an attractive, available woman. If she likes to play sports, she probably likes to stay in good shape, and good health. Some people use this as a last resort, but there is no reason why placing an ad in the personals section of your local newspaper is any different than meeting someone in public or at a bar. The only difference is that you can screen who you want to get together with and realize, even before the meeting occurs, that it isn't going to work out. Make sure you describe yourself honestly and explain a lot of the things you are interested in and you will be able to meet new people more than usual. Don't forget to look through the personals for women's ads, too!

If you want to meet someone new, but you don't necessarily have the confidence or the time to meet her in person, try online dating. This is a great way to sift out women with similar interests, so you will waste less time on dates that are going nowhere. You will be able to explain who you are, what you like, and the types of women you are interested in. You will also get this information about the women on the site, before you even say hello. The key to successful online dating is honesty, in both filling out your profile and the pictures you post of yourself. The worst experience will be setting up a date with someone, meeting them, and realizing they look totally different than the picture you saw on the dating site.

If you are too busy to even set up an online dating account, try one of these new texting networks. They work much like a dating site, but you only communicate through text messages. Although this is a good place meet people if you are too busy or anything else, we suggest at least using an online dating site if you want to use technology. Texting will tell you some things about the person, and maybe get a few pictures, but it is not as involved as any other type of dating service.
